Intern at a well-known architecture and design firm for three years learning many aspects of the design field.

 

Professional Experience

JOHNSON ARCHITECTURE, Knoxville, TN

Design Intern, June 2014-August 2014; June 2015-August 2015; December 2015-January 2016; June 2016-August 2016

  • Gained proficiency in AutoCad and edited finish schedules, drew residential floor plans, made changes to drawings

  • Designed a kitchen renovation for commercial client; presented to client and revised design based on client feedback

  • Used PhotoShop skills to alter photos of existing spaces reflecting proposed changes

  • Designed furniture arrangements and specified new furniture for two office building relocations

  • Offered suggestions and helped design a master bedroom suite

  • Selected aesthetically pleasing finishes and finish palettes for both residential and commercial clients

  • Maintained contact with various architectural representatives, dealers, and manufacturers in order to organize sample orders, kitchen hardware deliveries, and furniture pick-up

  • Created professional presentations to creatively communicate design intent

  • Visited home sites to asses and fulfill customer needs
